This year, Christian Life Assembly celebrates 80 years at the heart of Langley

Revitalized at 80

In 1937, two women began a work in Langley that would become known as Christian Life Assembly. Over the next four decades the church grew steadily and in 1977 moved to its current location. At that time 400 people, filled with faith and courage, built one of the largest church buildings in the lower mainland, CLA became a church at the heart of its community. As Langley grew, so did the church. Christmas, Easter, and Canada Day celebrations brought thousands of people. Christian Life Aseembly has been a people of faith and action. God has done incredible things in our 80 years of history and because of its strong focus on children, youth and young adults the church continued to renew itself.

Today the church celebrates five generations who gather to grow, to serve and to go into neighbourhoods and the world to bring transformation through Jesus Christ. What does this look like for you? What does this look like for us? CLA is a church family of over 4,000 people in 3 campuses who continue to deeply value the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in individual lives and families. This is the moment.

Join us to hear more about CLA’s revitalised mission for the 21st century on April 23rd in our 9 & 11 am services as we celebrate our past and reach out towards God’s calling for our future. Following the services there will be pancakes at 10:30 am and hamburgers at 12:30, by twoonie donation and activities for the kids as well as cupcakes for everyone.
