English Studies for Life in Canada - Friendship Partner Program
English Studies for Life in Canada (ESLC) needs you. We launched a new program in the fall of 2007 to partner volunteers through friendship evangelism with our students. There continues to be an ongoing need for new friendship partners each term. If you have a heart for people aged (20-60) of diverse cultures who are struggling to adjust to a new life in Canada, and want to reach people with the love of Jesus, then, this is the place for you to get involved. It's as simple as meeting for a cup of tea. You will be matched with an ESLC student of similar age and interests.
Are you planning on going on a short or long term mission in the near future? There are students of diverse backgrounds with whom we can match you up to exchange lanugage skills. Most people returning from a short term mission say that they wished they had taken the time to learn more of the language (short phrases, grettings etc.). Now there is an opportunity to do so!
