Kid’s Ministry Team Member – Langley Campus

Role: Serve in preschool and elementary capacities in CLA Kids Ministry on Sunday mornings at Langley Campus.

Supervisor: Jenni Colwell or Laurel Archer

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with children, willingness to serve.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, special departmental events if available, training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre.

Discipleship & Ministry (“Grow”) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist with Langley Campus Life Groups, discipleship events & classes

Supervisor: Mike Bidell

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work on a team and also serve independently, relate well to a wide audience, interest in discipleship and writing curriculum.

Time Investment: Weekly crafting of Life Group discussion guide/questions, Sunday morning attendance, assistance with discipleship/training events, retreats & classes (may include some evenings and weekends), monthly mentoring meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training with Langley leadership cadre. May additionally include involvement in Young Adults, Rev Youth or other areas of ministry, if desired and mutually agreed upon.

Worship Ministry (+ Tech Team) – Langley Campus

Role: Serve as a part of the worship/tech team on Sunday mornings and other contexts where this ministry is required, such as special events. Students will be given opportunity to learn and support the daily/weekly operational needs in the worship ministry and tech team. They will receive time for debriefing and growth, questions and discussions with their mentor.

Supervisor: Laura Bidell

Requirements: Application, interview, audition for musicians/singers and sound tech. Must have a willingness to serve the church as a whole and not just the Sunday stage.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, outreach and leadership events, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with the Langley leadership cadre.

Worship Ministry (+ Pastoral) – Langley Campus

Role: Serve as a part of the worship team on Sundays and in other areas of need that will cultivate a realistic experience of pastoral ministry including special events. Students will be given opportunity to learn and support the daily/weekly operational needs and pastoral responsibilities in the worship ministry. They will receive time for debriefing and growth, questions and discussions with their mentor.

Social Media Director (Rev) - Langley Campus

Role: Contribute by creating/curating content designed to reach and disciple students through social media platforms.  This intern will be committed to Tuesday night youth services, as well as building teams around executing the vision of “digital discipleship.”

Supervisor: Peter Yoon

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview, familiarity with social media, willingness to learn and serve. (Bonus: Competency around graphic design, videography, photography)

Time investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, curating/posting throughout the week, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre.

High School Ministry Director (Rev) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist and serve the Youth Ministry (Rev) on Tuesday nights. Help give leadership to the volunteers and teams that run the weekly High School services. Give Pastoral support to High School students. Lead a Hub (small group).

Supervisor: Peter Yoon

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve.  A desire to grow in leadership development, and pastoral service.

Time Investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, Sunday morning attendance, student leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre.

Middle School Ministry Director (Rev) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist and serve the Youth Ministry (Rev) on Tuesday nights. Help give leadership to the volunteers and teams that run the weekly Middle School services. Give Pastoral support to Middle School students. Lead a Hub (small group).

Supervisor: Peter Yoon

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve.  A desire to grow in leadership development, and pastoral service.

Time Investment: Tuesday nights weekly, Sunday morning attendance, student leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre.

Sunday Morning Middle School Director (Rev 678) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist and serve on the Middle School Ministry Team during Sunday mornings, running Sunday morning 678 small groups.  This intern will help give oversight to volunteers and teams; having a hand in coordinating the Sunday morning discipleship program.

Supervisor: Jaden Neufeld

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve.  A heart to disciple and go deeper with middle school students.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings (during 9AM service), leadership meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre. 

Sunday Morning Middle School Director (Rev 678) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist and serve on the Middle School Ministry Team during Sunday mornings, running Sunday morning 678 small groups. This intern will help give oversight to volunteers and teams; having a hand in coordinating the Sunday morning discipleship program.

Supervisor: Jaden Neufeld

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve. A heart to disciple and go deeper with middle school students.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings (during 11AM service), leadership meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre. 

Youth Worship Director (Rev) – Langley Campus

Role: Assist and serve the youth ministry Tuesday nights.  Schedule and assist worship for Rev. Assist in training youth who are  a part of the Rev worship team.

Supervisor: Jaden Neufeld

Requirements: Application with a current and clear criminal record check (CRC), interview/audition, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve, disciple students, musical abilities. (Bonus: proficiency using Ableton)

Time Investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with Langley leadership cadre.

Young Adult Pastoral Apprentice – Langley Campus

Role: This position provides the opportunity to grow in pastoral ministry and experience. The intern will experience what it’s like to help oversee a weekly young adults gathering. The intern selected will help lead a Life Group (organization, pastoral care, leading discussion, sharing brief thoughts on given topic), and they will help host various weekly services (testimony, communion, interviews, prayer, etc.). They will also be part of the larger young adult pastoral team, navigating the tensions, challenges and successes of the young adults ministry. The position will also include connecting with new people to help them connect better with other young adults in our community. 

Supervisor: Jeremy King

Requirements: Application, interview, willingness to serve as part of a team, willing to focus on non-stage aspects of pastoral ministry.

Time Investment: Weekly Thursday nights, weekly (or bi-weekly) Life Group, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership team meetings.

Female Young Adults Pastoral Assistant – Langley Campus

Role: We are looking for a female pastoral assistant to care for the young adult women at Young Adults (Langley Campus), helping the Young Adults pastor as needs arise. This role would include regular engagement in a Life Group and specific focus on the young adult women in that Life Group, but she would primarily be providing pastoral care for women in the whole community. This could take place over coffee with new people, and making connection with those who request a visit.

Supervisor: Jeremy King

Requirements: Application, interview, willingness to serve as part of a team, willing to focus on non-stage aspects of pastoral ministry at Young Adults – Langley Campus.

Time Investment: Weekly Thursday evenings, weekly (or bi-weekly) Life Group gatherings, coffees with young adult women, monthly meetings with supervising pastor, and monthly leadership team meetings.
