Christo & Sarah Emmanuel - Chennai

In 2006, Christo and Sarah obeyed the call of God, moved to Chennai, India and planted Living God Church with just a handful of people. Sarah and Christo pastor two growing churches of more than 350 members and are working towards additional Church plants. The ministry reaches a broad spectrum of people within the community: from children and youth, educated young adults, poor widows, Hindus, Muslims and many more! Every year more than a thousand children and youth are touched through annual camps and VBS that make a huge impact in the community.

To meet the social needs of the people, three ‘Life Centres’ have been established to provide accessible education, skills training, support and resources for women, provisional items and clothing for the poor as well as functioning as a hub for evangelistic outreaches and discipleship. In the past year they have developed a successful Tailoring Institute for slum women and an affordable, quality daycare program for both the tailoring student's children and those from unreached families in the community.

Furthermore, with a vision to raise up national Leaders, VisionLed Int. Bible College has been pioneered by Christo & Sarah as a comprehensive training centre for developing church planters, pastors, evangelists, missionaries and other effective leaders with a desire to serve the Lord full-time. Both full-time and part-time classes have been fruitfully running in 2013 with many believers and interns growing in their faith and leadership ability both through in-class lessons and practical opportunities. Also, in the past year VisionLed's first homeland missions team was sent out to unreached villages within India!
