Baptism is a visible representation of a person’s identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.

Baptisms during Covid-19

During this time of Covid-19 limitations, we are still able to baptize you at CLA. Here are some important steps:

1) Take the Baptism Class. Please contact us to connect you with one of our pastors and they will be happy to work with you through a 15 minute discussion on the Why of Baptism.
2) We are asking you to be baptized by a close family member, and/or someone who is in your household. A pastor will be there to guide you through the steps and help in any way. The recommended physical distancing will be observed.
3) We will record your baptism and if you allow, we would like to play your baptism the following Sunday to bring encouragement to CLA. Please know that there will only be one baptism allowed per tank filling and will be thoroughly cleaned after and before the next baptism.

If you would like to take the next steps, and be baptized, let us know!

We encourage and celebrate believer’s baptism by immersionwhich is the immersion of a person in water who has chosen to follow Jesus. When that person goes under the water, it symbolizes the passing away of old life, and when they are raised out of water, it symbolizes the new life found through faith in Jesus

Don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
