Life can get busy, and despite our best intentions, finding time to commit to a course or group for multiple weeks can be difficult. This year, we’re going to try something new – Saturday School! This is for all those who are interested in a one-day learning experience; a day with several course options available for your faith development and spiritual growth.
All courses will start at the same time and share in a common lunch meal together. Groups of family and friends will all be able to come together to attend – and each can select the course of their interest. There is even a course option and childcare available for your children! Plan to come to Saturday School this upcoming March 7 – let’s learn and grow together! Which course will you take?
APOLOGETICS: HOW TO DEFEND YOUR FAITH
with Pastor Rob Bedard
Cost: $25.00 | 9 AM - 3 PM
Have you noticed lately the religious pulpit employed by Peter on the Day of Pentecost has been replaced with the rational debate employed by Paul on Mars Hill? How can we Bible-believing Christ-followers engage in spiritual conversation with post-modern, post-truth and post-Christian skeptics? Here’s how: “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15). This track “Believe It or Not” will give answers to the following questions skeptics are asking the church today:
- Is there really a God?
- Is the Bible really reliable?
- Is Jesus really God?
- Did Jesus really rise from the dead?
SPIRIT FILLED LIFE

EXPLORE YOUR EMOTIONS
Cost: $10 | 9 AM - 2 PM
Saturday school for kids ages 5+. A fun-filled day including snacks, crafts, games, worship and Bible based teaching all focused around our emotions of Anger and Sadness! Lunch is included!
with Pastor Derrick & Sara-Lee Hamre
No cost | 9 AM - 4 PM
This course, led by Pastor Derrick and Sara-Lee Hamre, is an opportunity to meet new people, get to know the Hamres and to hear about God’s unique call for CLA. Those who attend are often new to our church or checking out CLA to see if it is where God wants them to be. However, each semester, there are also people who have been at CLA for many years and simply want to be better acquainted with their pastor and/or to connect with new people. It’s a perfect refresher to remind people of our mission and values. The informal setting is great of a relational orientation to Christian Life Assembly. Discovery Class is a prerequisite for membership. It is also a place to take your spiritual gifts test and learn how God has made you to be a blessing to His Church.

GRANDPARENTS AS MENTORS
with Dr. Carson Pue
No relationship is quite like that of a grandparent with his or her grandchild. Given this unique relationship, we grandparents have a special opportunity to mentor children who call them "Grandma" or "Grandpa" (or the many loveable variations of those). Not only that, but there are those in our community who live far away from their family creating a great opportunity to be "adopted" grandparents.
This half-day teaching module will assist with:
- Understanding intergenerational bonds.
- How to keep your cool.
- How to best engage with your grandkids.
- Being intentional.
- How to bring Jesus into your mentoring.
Child care is available for children ages 4 and under. Please indicate on the registration form that you require childcare. There is no child care for children ages 5+
