Word from the Pastor

A Bountiful Harvest

It's been an incredible journey of emotions (the positive kind) over the past couple of months as I transitioned into the role of High School Pastor here at CLA. I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome I have received from everyone, and I am excited to work alongside Pastor Derrick and the rest of the staff at CLA as we embrace the vision God has for our Church family.

In 2019, I graduated from Bible college, and since then, I have had the privilege of serving in youth ministry for the past four years. Growing up in a Pastor's home, my passion for the local church was ignited at an early age.

As a young student, I never had the opportunity to be part of a thriving and healthy youth ministry. Reflecting on my own experience, I realize how much easier it could have been for me with the support of such a community. My heart's desire is to create a place for students that I wished I had during my high school years.

A scripture that has guided my ministry is Ephesians 4:11-13:

"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

My passion for youth ministry lies in equipping and building up students for ministry in whatever capacity that looks like for each individual. I want to walk alongside them during their formative years, providing discipleship, encouragement, and support as they step into their destinies and callings.

In the upcoming days, myself and the rest of the Rev team will be bringing hundreds of students to camp. I kindly ask for your prayers. Pray that God will speak to the lives of our students in new and profound ways, confirming and solidifying their callings. Pray for healings, miracles, and transformation to touch the hearts and minds of every student.

Once again, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every person who has prayed, encouraged, and generously supported Rev in the past few months as we prepared for this life-changing week. The seeds sown into this ministry and camp will undoubtedly yield a bountiful harvest for years to come.
