We are two months away from the BEST week of the year!
Many of you may have heard the youth team or the CLA staff describe Rev Camp as the “best week of the year.” My hope is to paint the picture of why Rev Camp is the best week of the year for our students, volunteers and staff that make Rev Camp possible year after year.
When I was sixteen years old, I gave my life to Christ at a youth camp and was forever changed. I came to learn that there were people praying for me that I did not know, and there were people who anonymously gave to send me to camp. God faithfully used people in my life who I knew and did not know to pave a way for me to come to know Him. The same God who made a way for me to go to camp as a teenager is the same God who makes a way for our students to come to Rev Camp. Youth camp radically changed the course of my life, and our team believes that it can deeply change the lives of our students. That is why Rev Camp is the best week of the year!
Each year the Rev staff discern and choose a theme for Rev Camp. This year's theme is All In, which is illustrated in Matthew 16:24-25, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” This passage invites all believers into a deeper walk with Jesus characterized by sacrifice, humility, obedience and being “All In” as a disciple of Christ. We believe that Jesus is going to call students into a deeper relationship with Him, a relationship that will impact their generation and the generations to come!
If you are a parent of a youth student, we encourage you to consider signing your student up for Rev Camp. We believe that it will be a week of fun, friendship, and transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit. Rev Camp opens students up to a deeper relationship with God, their peers and their Rev leaders. The memories that are made at camp last a lifetime!
If you are interested in partnering with the Rev team for Rev Camp, this year, there are a couple of ways to do so.
- Prayer – Pray over students, volunteers and the Rev staff who will be at camp this year. Pray that students would gain a greater understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus and to take up their cross. Pray for salvation and re-dedication of faith.
- Generous Giving – Rev Camp is not possible without the generosity of CLA. Giving helps to keep the overall cost of camp down for all families.
From the entire Rev team, we thank you CLA for your continued support and faithfulness to Rev Camp!
