On Sunday, August 17 our Campus Pastor for Maple Ridge CLA made an important announcement. I want to respond briefly to Pastor Mark’s resignation and ask you, Langley Campus, for your prayer during this transition and change.
First, I want to thank the Colwell’s for seven years of beautiful work. Mark has been an excellent Campus Pastor and Jenni has always been at his side to support him. I’m so grateful for them. I acknowledge their hard work, sincere prayers, and deep devotion to CLA. They have laboured in love to make disciples, develop leaders and to reach the community. Pastor Mark has been loyal to me and the leadership of CLA. On behalf of the board, staff, campus, and all of CLA I thank Pastor Mark for his outstanding work and for how he has made us all better. I look forward to being in Maple Ridge on September 21 to celebrate him and Jenni.
I invite you to join me in prayer for God’s preferred future for our Maple Ridge Campus as we enter this unique moment in history. For over twenty-five years CLA has worked hard to Gather, Grow, Serve and Go through our campus strategically located in Maple Ridge. By God’s grace we have seen the campus thrive and grow. God’s Spirit has brought transformation and I’m confident His anointing will continue to guide us. Ask God to guide us with discernment, clear direction, and towards new opportunities. As Lead Pastor, please pray for me. As we release the Colwell’s into a new chapter at the British Columbia & Yukon District of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, I am confident that the LORD of the harvest has a plan for us as well. My faith is high.
I assure you that the Maple Ridge Campus is extremely important to me and to the CLA Board. I’ve known this transition was coming and have given it my top priority. I have consulted with Maple Ridge leaders, staff, and key leadership to prepare for the autumn. I look forward to a Townhall meeting to be held in Maple Ridge on Sunday, September 21. Mark has been a key part of the consultations. I’m grateful for Pastor Brendan Meade and Pastor Julia Colwell, for their stable and ongoing help. Pray for the MR staff. Over the past 11 years I’ve gotten to know many of the MR Campus and have marveled at the depth of their spirituality and passion for ministry. God has this campus in the palm of His hand.
Thank you for your unity, devotion, and prayers. Looking forward to our cross-campus link this Sunday, August 31.
