From July 14 – 25, 403 children raced through Kids Camp 2025 at the Langley and Maple Ridge campuses with joy, determination and enough energy to light up most of the Lower Mainland! What a spectacular display of the Holy Spirit’s creative power released into open hearts and lives. And we can trust that God’s power will continue to propel their lives forward into the future because it’s his promise to us. So, let’s celebrate God’s faithfulness!
Here's my Top Ten Highlight’s from Kids Camp 2025
- The open hearts of the children to worship and respond to invitations of the Spirit – especially to the song: My God is So Big!
- Volunteer Team – 129 adults and youth from both campuses and they were ALL IN!
- Staff team and summer interns – faithful, hardworking and joyful. You are the BEST team!
- Offering project for Imagine Thailand ($1000.00) met and surpassed!
- Discipleship moments extended through the volunteer leaders, great conversations and connections.
- Launch Zone Kids welcomed, included and fabulously engaged!
- Race and Craft Rotation – not too cold, not too hot – but just right!
- Object Lesson Day Two – Burning bush/Pentecost come together for the win!
- Everyone ate the snacks! (another miracle of biblical proportions!) – special shout out to Mary Phommaviset, Caryn Coft and Kiersten Cridland
- BONUS – Ceci Abdo’s famous scones for the volunteers in Langley – magnificent.
Parents, we are partners together in the discipleship of the next generation. So, here’s my pastoral request to all of you: continue the conversations from camp with your children. Ask them about the story of Moses. Let the information steep and deepen within them as you explore God’s word together. We’ll send you the links for the songs, so you can worship together. Ask them if they said, “yes to Jesus” and pray about that together. Use these five coaching tips from camp to help guide those conversations. Say, “I heard that you learned: _____, tell me about that.”
- I move with God’s purpose – Baby Moses saved from Pharoah
- I move with God’s strength – Moses and the burning bush
- I move when God says so – The Exodus and the miraculous Sea Crossing
- I love because God provides – The Israelites in the Wilderness
- God moves me toward the eternal prize – Moses passes leadership to Joshua
Finally – Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers, generosity and support for CLA Kids. If CLA Kids is flourishing – and it is – then it’s because our Spirit filled collaboration is strong!
