Word From The Pastor

Thank You - And We're Not Done Yet

As Missions Month comes to a close at CLA, we want to pause and say something simple and heartfelt: thank you. Thank you for praying with expectancy, for giving with generosity, and for opening your hearts to the stories and needs of our global partners. Thank you for believing that the gospel is good news not only for Langley, but for the nations.

This month has been inspiring—but let’s be honest: it can also feel tiring. When we look at the needs around the world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. And when we look at our own capacity, it’s easy to wonder if we have enough. But here’s the beautiful truth: mission was never meant to rest on one moment or one month. It rests on a rhythm—a faithful, steady way of living that keeps us aligned with God’s heart for the world.

At CLA, we talk about that rhythm simply: Pray. Give. Go. Repeat. Not frantic. Not sporadic. Not burnout‑inducing. Just faithful steps that keep us in the story God is writing.

So as we close this month, we’re not closing the mission. We’re renewing it.

Keep praying—for workers, for nations, and for the partners we walk alongside. Small prayers, prayed consistently, shape us more than we realize.

Keep giving—not out of pressure, but out of partnership. Every gift, large or small, becomes part of someone’s future.

Keep going—across the world or across your street. Mission happens wherever your feet happen to be.

Thank you for everything you’ve poured into this month. Now let’s carry that momentum into the weeks and months ahead. The mission continues—and we get to continue together.

Let’s go far, together.
