The candidate in this role will likely find their workload to be spent according to the following percentages: 40% administration, 30% pastoral care, 15% community engagement, 15% event coordination
This pastoral role is designed to support and strengthen the Sooke Campus. The individual in this role will be overseeing the administrative components of ministry in the campus, the execution of both internal and external events, engagement with the broader community of Sooke and pastoral care for the campus as well as occasional participation outside of the given description.
General Duties
• Planning Center scheduling and oversight
• Volunteer communication
• Be a part of ministry expressions in the community of Sooke
• Participation in LT for the direction and oversight of the campus and lead volunteers
• Oversee community engagement including but not limited to, Jireh Market, community events, serving projects, fundraising, kids camp.
• Pastoral care, leadership development, discipleship of new believers
• Partnering with the Campus Pastor for the execution of campus events including but not limited to; Transformation Weekend, Alpha, Easter Weekend, cCmpus Christmas party, volunteer appreciation, worship nights, team nights.
Sundays
• Being a part of team huddle and leading preservice prayer occasionally
• Offer support to other pastoral team members if needed.
• Participation in preaching rotation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Capacity to offer pastoral care
• Be familiar with ministry procedures related to tasks
• Should enjoy working with people, their care and connection to the church.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the staff
• Tact, empathy and diplomacy when dealing with others and the ability to maintain confidentiality
• High administrative acumen

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in theological studies
• PAOC Credentials or willingness to come under the PAOC Credentialing process
• Ministry experience or equivalent experience in the role equalling two (2) years
