  1. Receive and transfer all incoming calls, faxes, and emails (includes answering questions and addressing complaints) as well as maintain the phone voicemail message system.
  2. Greeting and welcoming all those who walk through the CLA Centre doors and assisting them as needed.

  4. Create and contribute to a welcoming and gracious atmosphere by maintaining a tidy, presentable workspace and ensuring all necessary materials are accessible.
    • Keeping informed of and tracking current and up coming church activities
    • Keeping informed of and tracking staff absences, birthdays, etc.
    • Coordinate weekly office supply orders
    • Church database-related projects such as first-time guest letters, baptism and child dedication certificates, etc.
    • Handling all incoming and outgoing mail including Canada Post, couriers, deliveries
    • Other special projects such as assisting with mail outs, etc.
  5. Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skill, Ability

  • Proven experience as receptionist or related position
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Customer service oriented
  • Maintain tact and diplomacy in dealing with all people
  • Ability to learn assigned tasks quickly
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment(e.g. photocopier, printer, etc.)
  • Proficient on the computer and good knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Ability to type with reasonable speed and accuracy
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ·Good organizational, time management and multitasking ability.
  • Able to perform simple math calculations

Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of Reception or Administrative experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training. Switchboard experience and business courses would be an asset.
