In City Serve, we’ve kicked off our Christmas baking – better known as Cookies with a Cause! This year, our famous Candy Cane Shortbread, Candy Cane Chocolate Chip, and Ginger Molasses Cookies will be for sale in the foyer over the next three weeks. Come see us, share a smile, and take home a little Christmas cheer!
Cookies with a Cause is more than a sweet holiday tradition – it’s how we make a difference together. Every cookie sold helps fund our Christmas Hampers, which bless families in our community with groceries, treats, and thoughtful gifts. What might have been a difficult season becomes one filled with hope, dignity, and joy.
We believe loving our neighbours means showing up with generosity and compassion. Through our Christmas Hampers, we remind every recipient that they are seen, valued, and loved by their community and their Creator. This year, hampers will go to families within our CLA family and our local School District, alongside our ongoing food security programs like school lunch initiatives and Raphael House.
Our storerooms are filling up as we prepare for Hamper Packing Days, partnering with REV, Rally Young Adults, Kids Ministry, HER, Thrive, and Sunbeam to collect curated items. It’s beautiful to see our church family unite to share God’s love in practical ways.
