Pastor Derrick took up the responsibilities of Lead Pastor at Christian Life Assembly in 2014, a congregation of 3000 people with multiple campuses in the heart of one of the most spiritually needy regions in North America. The Holy Spirit is using CLA to bring transformation of lives, neighbourhoods and the region. The focus is building a missional church in a post Christian culture. Derrick has a heart to see the Church of Jesus Christ brought to health and multiplication. He is passionate about prayer and the truths in God’s Word.
Derrick and Sara-Lee (Gaetz) have been married over 30 years and have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. It gives them great joy to walk with their young adult children as they follow the path of Christ for their lives.
